Welcome to Burgess National Rabbit Week 2009

Week of the Furry Fibrevour!

Week of the Furry Fibrevour!

Welcome to the official website for Burgess National Rabbit Week. Burgess National Rabbit Week 2009 takes place between 24th and 30th January. Put the date in your diary!

Now in its third year, Burgess National Rabbit Week continues to promote responsible rabbit-ownership. Rabbits make wonderful pets for children and adults, but they require high levels of care and commitment in order to live a happy, healthy life.

In 2009, Burgess National Rabbit Week will focus on fibre. Did you know that rabbits are ‘fibrevores’? Fibre is an essential part of a rabbit's diet, and plays a vital role in maintaining their good health and wellbeing. Rabbits require extremely high levels of fibre in order to keep their digestive system running smoothly, their teeth in good working order, and to enhance their emotional health.

Thank you to everyone who entered our best display competiton during Burgess National Rabbit Week. There was an extremely high standard of entries and it was very difficult to pick just one out but we are delighted to announce that the Animal Health Centre in TORQUAY, Devon are the winners with their very imaginative and creative display of colourful rabbits around their centre together with an excellent display of Excel products!
